Withdrawal from distance purchases

Under Articles 10 et seq. of Portuguese Decree-Law 24/2014, consumers normally have 14 days from conclusion of a service or digital-supply contract to withdraw without giving a reason. The period does not start only on the later voucher-use date. If physical goods are offered in future under separate conditions, the statutory period runs from receipt as applicable.

Send an unequivocal statement to info@spatreats.me, by post to the registered address above or through the withdrawal form. Include name, contact, service/voucher and purchase date; a reference helps but is not an absolute requirement. Packaging, tags and courier return are not required for a digital voucher.

Where due, refunds are made without undue delay and within 14 days of the statement, using the original payment method unless expressly agreed otherwise at no cost to the consumer. The corresponding code is cancelled on withdrawal. Non-performance and conformity rights remain unaffected.

Services started or booked for a specific date

Emailing a digital voucher is not treated as automatic waiver. Starting services during the withdrawal period and any loss of the right after full performance depend on the express requests, consents and acknowledgements required by law. Only a lawfully due proportionate amount for services expressly requested may apply.

The exception in Article 17(1)(k) applies only where the contract actually falls within the covered leisure/catering services and specifies an execution date or period, with prior disclosure. We do not exclude all vouchers or spa services indiscriminately.

Booking cancellation and earlier conditions

Rescheduling/cancelling an appointment is distinct from withdrawal from a purchase. Current general booking terms allow changes without penalty until six hours before the appointment; late cancellation or no-show may use the full voucher benefit where disclosed and lawfully applicable. If SpaTreats cancels, the voucher is not treated as used: alternatives or a legally due refund are offered. Statutory rights and more favourable terms accepted in earlier purchases remain unaffected.
